Donostia Kirola is a public body that manages sports infrastructure in Donostia-San Sebastian and has thousands of users and requests for information every day. To speed up the requests for information and formalities, they wanted to deploy a smart assistant, so we are developing the project in collaboration with them. We are developing technology designed to develop bilingual dialogue systems for assisting in formalities.
The dialogue system or chatbot developed in this project with be capable of efficiently assisting members of the public in administrative formalities, and will be of great benefit to Donostia Kirola; indeed, it will reach more members of the public more rapidly and at any time.

Challenge
The main challenge lies in detecting the intentions of members of the public in Basque and Spanish, answering their questions, and then providing effective, specific answers. To achieve this, we are applying the latest advances in the field of multilingual neural language models.
